Team A and B tie up, jump ball is called. Arrow pointing to Team A; Team A's ball. On the endbounds play, Team B kicks the ball, what happens? You make the Call! Be quick, you have got less than 2 seconds to blow the whistle, make the call, and get it right and get going again!

kicks the ball? if its in the perosn who is throwing it in hands then its a T but if the person attempts to throw it in and kicks it then a. its either kicked back out of bounds and ball is thrown back in, or b. the ball is kicked in to play and ref call kickeing and ball is thrown back in at the same spot.

idk this questions confuses me

Ok since their was 20 looks and only one reply.. This might have stumped some people...or you do not care..the answer!
Team A throws it in...Team B kicks the ball...violation on B....Team A gets to throw in from point of interuption.
Here is the possesion arrow answer.......since Team A was taking it out due to a tie up and Team B violated by kicking the ball.....the ball was NEVER possessed by Teams A or B.. The posssession arrow does not change... Team A will still have the possession arrow pointing their way.
Possesion arrow can ONLY change after legal possession after team or player control.

This whole thing really makes no sense to me at all. Jump ball team with arrow gets the ball, now lets say other team has a violation on the line or something running the baseline for instance. Your saying that doesn't count as a possession? If so thats a terrible rule that needs to be changed.

I dont even understand why your asking about an arrow on a play like this, is it not obvious that if a team kicks the ball on the inbounds it's not a jump ball and it's the other teams ball?

The arrow is just as important as the kicking violation. It is the completion of the original throw-in. Violations and fouls can have continuing circumstances that complete the enforcement of a rule. The placement of the AP arrow is VERY important, especially towards the end of the game. Getting it right is why we officials do this job.

It team A has thrown ball in bounds and it is legally touched(kicked) by Team B then why would possession arrow not be changed. Team A would still be inbounding ball with possession arrow pointing toward Team B. If not this is not legal possession(when the ball is kicked) then why is it not a Technical or why would the possession arrow not change after Team A is given the ball back out of bounds to try to in bound again? If possession arrow does not change on this situation then what about a 5 second violation? If Team A never in bounds ball then would possession arrow change then?

Kicking is not legally touching nor is it possession.

Then why does the rule book say that the arrow changes on a violation or when the ball is legally touched? They tinkered with the wording on that rule this year and I think all it's done is cause mass confusion.
